Here's Who We Are
OUR HISTORY

St. Peter’s Syriac Orthodox Cathedral located in Philadelphia, was established in 1977. Since then our church has been growing tremendously with strong fellowship and true faith. St. Peter’s Jacobite church is the evidence of the living GOD and a unique place for worship, prayer and spiritual growth. We have many supporting faithful groups for different ages such as Sunday School, Youth League, Men’s Prayer Fellowship and Women’s League, all which encourage you to participate in our traditional worship.

OUR FAITH

The faith of the Syriac Orthodox Church is in accordance with the Nicene Creed. It believes in the Trinity, that is one God, subsisting in three separate persons called the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The three being of one Essence, of one Godhead, have one Will, one Work and one Lordship. The special aspect of the First Person is His Fatherhood, that of the Second Person His Sonship, and that of the Third Person His Procession.
