St. Peter’s Youth Club (SPYC)

St. Peter’s Youth Club (SPYC) was formed in February of 1997 to bring the youths (ages 13-25) of St. Peter’s Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church together into one cohesive unit. In 2002, Mar Gregorious Syrian Orthodox Student Association (MGSOSA) was instituted in the Malankara Syrian Orthodox North American Diocese creating a national youth group for the Malankara Syrian Orthodox faith. SPYC became part of MGSOSA Philadelphia Chapter. We have tried to organize group activities throughout the years to bring greater unity, to have greater involvement within our community, and to enhance our religious experience.
